List of closed areas (Eighth Avenue Line):
Park Place/Chambers Street is a station that was built to create a transfer between the Eighth Avenue Line and express Seventh Avenue Line trains. Prior to a renovation to the station in the late 1990s, the station had a mezzanine that extended throughout the length of the station. After the renovation, several sections in the IND station were closed off because of safety reasons, including an entrance at the northeastern corner of Warren Street and Church Street, which was likely closed because it was a meandering passage with many blind spots. The IRT station also saw one entrance at the southwestern corner of Broadway and Park Place closed. It featured a direct entrance to the basement of the Woolworth Building. This area was closed after the September 11 attacks.
