33rd Street was built a local station.
The station has two exits that have been generally untouched, although two exits on the eastern set were closed. The closed exits led to the east side of 34th Street on the median of Queens Boulevard and were closed in the winter between 1995 and 1996 due to security concerns, and the surrounding area in the mezzanine was converted to employee facilities. As a result, the western set has four exits (to 33rd Street), while the eastern set only has two (to 34th Street).
