Woodhaven Blvd
Lines:
IND Queens Blvd Line
List of closed areas:
Woodhaven Blvd was built as a local station.
The station was built with two set of entrances. Because of crime, however, the station has seen much of its eastern set closed off. One entrance, which led to Slattery Plaza on the south side of Queens Boulevard under the Long Island Expressway, was closed in the 1990s due to crime. The other, which led to the northeastern corner of Horace Harding Expressway's eastern service road & Queens Boulevard, was closed much earlier, likely due to security concerns arising from the fact that the entrance led to a very long passage to the eastern fare control area.
