Fulton St
Lines:
BMT Jamaica Line
(transfers to IRT Lexington Ave Line, IRT 7th Ave Line, & IND 8th Ave Line)
List of closed areas:
The station, which was overbuilt with long passages at its north and south ends, has seen many areas closed off, all for different reasons. While the downtown platform has entrances to both eastern corners of John Street and Nassau Street, a passage at the south end of the uptown platform to both western corners of John Street and Nassau Street closed in mid-1987 due to security concerns. At the same time, a passage at the north end of the downtown platform to both eastern corners of Beekman Street and Nassau Street was closed, also due to security concerns. A winding staircase to a fare control area at Ann Street, with entrances at both western corners corners of Ann Street and Nassau Street, was also closed; a crossunder at the bottom of this winding staircase allowed for passengers to switch directions without having to use the IND platform, but was unfortunately closed in 1992.
